Distinguished Marines Block Of Stamps
The date for the First Day of Issuance (FDOI) of the Distinguished Marines
block of stamps is set for 10 November 2005. The official ceremony will
take place in the National Capitol Region at a place to be determined.
This Distinguished Marines block of stamps consists of four individual
stamps honoring John Lejeune, Lewis Puller, John Basilone, and Daniel Daly.
The FDOI is the ONLY U.S. Postal Service and USMC sanctioned event. There
will be two secondary ceremonies on Monday, 14 November, one at Camp Pendleton,and one at Camp Lejeune.
Due to the numerous affinity groups associated with these legendary Marines,
and the stamp issuance ceremony, all inquiries should be directed to
