It's always a sad thing to lose one parent. I still have both of mine...both in their 80s. Butch lost both of his and that was a very sad thing. But life continues and we hold their memories dear the same as we hope our children will remember us some day.
Did you ever go into a cafe' and find out that you could not read the menu? All I wanted was a cup of soup....

We saw so many castles and only got to visit so few... My wife and I would now like to take a bike ride through Germany so that we can see more.. But when you turn 70 it does get hard to do.

I wanted to just drop by and say something I forgot last week when I returned from my vacation to Germany. While I was gone we had our 2nd Birthday here at MarineChat.com and The O'Boot Forum... Happy second birthday to all of you. It was On August 21, 2003 that we started this web site. We have had a lot of ups and downs.. but I just wanted to say that this is the only place on the net that I would want to be. You are are great bunch of people. So.
