The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord; by the word of the Lord the heavens were made. (Ps. 32)
Almighty and ever-living God, we hear in scripture that you are the shepherd who tends to his sheep. May we always respond to the sound of your voice and follow you where you may lead us. Amen.
Christ now raised from the dead will never die again; death no longer has power over him, Alleluia. (Romans 6)
Lord Jesus, you freed us from sin by rising from the dead. We come to you in prayer remembering all of our loved ones who have died. May they be with you in heaven, rejoicing in the glory of your resurrection. Amen.
All you nations, praise the Lord. (Ps. 87)
Almighty God, as we continue to celebrate the Easter mysteries, we are reminded of the joy your Son won for us. May we always find time to praise you. Amen.
Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light,
Where there is sadness, joy.

Lord Jesus, you revealed to your disciples not to let their hearts be troubled, to have faith in God and to have faith in you. There are times in our lives when our hearts are troubled. Help us to believe that you will show us the way, the truth and the life as we live moments of doubt. Amen.

Almighty Father, your Son Jesus Christ revealed for us your presence in the world. May we always recognize your presence in all that we do and may we share the gift of your presence with all whom we encounter. Amen.
Lord, let your mercy be on us, as we place our trust in you. (Ps. 33)
God our Father, we ask that you look upon us with love as we place our trust in you. May we sing of your praises throughout this joyous season when you have revealed the promise of eternal life. Amen.
O God, let all the nations praise you. Ps. 63
Lord God, we come before you with all of our longings to experience your presence in life. From this experience, may we all give witness to the nations of your Risen Son and may all praise you for ever and ever. Amen.

Almighty God, by raising Christ your Son from the dead you revealed the promise of eternal life. May we never doubt that you will fulfill the promises that you have made. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Lord Jesus, as we continue to live the blessings of the Easter season we are reminded of the difficulties that face us in giving witness to your presence. For those times that we have failed to remain faithful we ask for your forgiveness. Amen.
Whoever loves me will keep my word, says the Lord, and my Father will love him and we will come to him. (Jn. 14)
Ever-living God, we come before you with joyful hearts in the celebration of the resurrection of your Son. We desire to share this joy with those that we encounter in our everyday lives. Yet there are times when we face obstacles that prohibit us from sharing this joy. Help us to overcome these obstacles and to share this joy. Amen.
Prayer for the Homeless
O God, as Naomi and Ruth journeyed from one land to another seeking a home, we ask your blessing upon all who are homeless in this world. You promised to your chosen people a land flowing with milk and honey; so inspire us to desire the accomplishment of your will that we may work for the settlement of those who are homeless in a place of peace, protection, and nurture, flowing with opportunity, blessing, and hope. Amen.

Salvation Prayer
God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. Amen.
Prayer for Those Murdered
O God, we pray for those who have been murdered on the streets of our city. We commit to your loving care those who have died, beseeching you to receive their souls into the mercy of your love. Comfort their loved ones who mourn. Enable them to meet the lonely and painful days ahead in the strength of your love. Let the love that you have made known to us lead us to create safer streets for all to walk upon. Amen.

Lord Jesus, we are reminded this day of the care you have for all who follow you with an open heart. As we journey in this life, may we always find time to give you praise and bring your message to the ends of the earth. Amen.
You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. You will be my witnesses to all the world. (Acts 1)
Lord our God, we ask that you send your Holy Spirit into our lives for there are times that we find ourselves living in uncertainty, doubt or fear. Your Spirit will guide us and lead us to find courage, peace and joy in all that we do and say. Amen.
Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth. (Ps. 68)
God our Father, there are times in our lives where we find ourselves off the path of life that you have set for us to walk. Help us this day to remember that all we need to do is call on you and you will guide us back onto the right path. May we never fear to approach you for guidance and to seek your forgiveness when we have strayed from your grace. Amen.
Prayer for Friendship
You have blessed us, O God,
with the gift of friendship,
the bonding of persons
in a circle of love.
We thank you for such a blessing:
for friends who love us,
who share our sorrows,
who laugh with us in celebration,
who bear our pain,
who need us as we need them,
who weep as we weep,
who hold us when words fail,
and who give us the freedom
to be ourselves.

Prayer of Thanks
Throughout all generations we will render thanks unto Thee

Put on the Whole Armor of God
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
