i am a pvt currently at MOS school in VA and i wanted to know if a marine is trying hard to improve himself ,but is on light dity cause of a broken wrist will still get promoted on the 1st

I do not know about policies today as I retired in 1970. However, if you are a good Marine and doing your job, light duty should have no bearing on promotion. Good Luck.

It shouldn't hurt your chance at promotion - but it will wreck your love life for a while unless you are ambidextrous.. hehehehe
