Nice job on given us your input for the new Club......It almost sounds like the Topper Club - on Okinawa in the 60's.
Haven't seen that Lt. the Co was going to send over to help us......we are going to need a runner so I hope the Lt gets here on Thursday.
I contacted my old Master Gunny at 2nd Combat Engineers and he and a Few good men will take care of most of this project.
Talk to you latter after I hear from the Co. Based on your specifications I think were going to need between 18 - 20 M to put this club together. After we get the ok from the Co , I'll check with the Purchasing Officer and have him get the ball rolling on building spec's , design fees and interiors, etc. Take care-----Semper Fi
I can give you some tips for folks to handle the slots and any other gambling games that might be allowed. They are really great guys and only eat spaghetti on Fridays. 'They have a very strong union and will protect us from outside intervention for a cut of the profits.
I have some experience with staffing these clubs and will be glad to help you out with maidens to serve drinks, bartenders that have some real sex appeal, cooks and salad specialists that usually wear only aprons etc. etc. etc.
All except in the areas where our ladies will be in attendance. We should use some elderly men for these positions in order to make us appear manly to our ladies.
I have lots of other ideas for staffing and supplying the club if your interested.
1stSgt Smith.. you had a visit from a 2ndLt scuba3rd this morning..
He's not one of your run of the mill gold bars.. He's prior enlisted and damn good at recruiting... So.. don't mix up his SRB with the other officers.. Another good young mustang is 1stLt Bucklite.. he's your G3 officer...
Well... it's about time to start doing proficiency reports.. I know that you are new here and it's the XO's job..but maybe you should give him a little push.. I would not put it past him to try to put the job off on you.. But I would like The Select Few C.O. to have them ready for signature in about 45 days. I think the word should be passed down the chain of command to start pulling SRB's to make sure everything is up to date. Are they still doing dailies? Or has that gone computized now?

Thanks for the heads up on these two Lt's I'll get in touch with them.
As you know I was having problems with my Company XO 1st Lt Dipshitski.........Always wants to be in the field with the trrops, thinks he's still a Plt Commander.
Anyway, he told me he wanted some more field experience so
I had to pull a few calls and got him sent TAD to Haiti's with the Marine Detachment............tol d him this was a Black OPs assignment.........he ate it up ! I got him in good hands, this is classified but Gunny Mutter Hucker is in charge of this detail. The Lt is going to be Special OPs ( another name for third wheel) in this operation. So as you can see, I'm without a Company XO so I guess I'll handle the pro & con marking and ensure they are staffed to Bn & Regt in time. Got to go for now still investigating some of the charge sheets my Admin Chief gave me last night.
Dam i just found a fitness Report in this pile of SRB's for SSGT. N.O. Balls he's the Plt Sgt for the 1st Plt Commanded by 2nd Lt Loverboy................G uess I'll need to talk to MR. loverboy about this.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Storm is worst of season
Up to 10 inches possible by morning in Charlotte
STEVE LYTTLE, EMILY ACHENBAUM, GAIL SMITH-ARRANTS & DIANNE WHITACRE / Staff Writers
Snow continues to fall this afternoon across the Charlotte metro area and much of the Carolinas, and forecasters say heavier area of snow could spread back into the region this evening.
A winter storm warning remains in effect, with the National Weather Service saying up to 10 inches of snow could accumulate in Charlotte by early Friday morning.
Accumulations of a foot or more are possible in the area from the foothills eastward to Winston-Salem and Greensboro.

Just dropped by your office to get a little input on troop conditions, your opinion on who and how the suggested SNCO Club should be staffed, once finished and what you think of the outfit so far.
Having considerable enlisted service in my background I know the value of "The Top" and want have a relationship where you will feel free to include me, in the decision making process, when and if appropriate.
I have an office down the hall somewhere, not as large as yours, but nice. Feel free to drop by and visit when time permits. I'll buy the coffee.

Thanks for dropping by Lt. Major Chuck said you dropped by earlier but I was out of my office. Got dumped on with a bunch of SRB's with charge sheets attached so I need to investigate the charges before we run them up the flag pole. Looks like there all going to be article 15, you know small shit. I'll handle most of them with NJP. I think there are problems with the leadership in a couple of my Plt's we have very young Plt Commanders from what I see their Plt Sgt's are not given them the proper guidance. Don't mean to lay this on you but as I can see from your SRB you were prior enlisted so you'll know what I'm talking about.
I do believe we need this Officers /Staff Club I'd like to see it designed with two wings, separate from each other and private entrances one for the officers and one for the Staff NCO's. In the middle of this club would be an area where the Officers & Staff NCO could mingle if they so desire. This common area would only be opened to the officers & Staff NO Guest and would be used to brain storm ideas. I would limited the time it would be open so we didn't get drunk with each other and all get shit mouth. What would be said in this common area would stay there.
I know this approach goes against what most of us learned in BooT Camp about Officers and Staff NCO socializing together but in this type command, I think it would work. After all we all are Officers, just some have a commission and some don't. Hell did you know there use to be a Rank of General Sgt Major ? Yes and what was an enlisted rank and outranked Col's. I'll tell you about it sometime when I come by your office.
Still feeling my waY around this command, hell I 'M suppose to have a Bn Sgt Maj around here someplace but I only get phone calls from him and nobody know where his office is. He told me I'm the Sr 1Stsgt of this outfit and to handle matters when he's not in but I don't know where his office is. I do know his name and made some inquiries.........it's SGT Major Reel McCoy..........he doesn't know it but we did have a run in when he was the Activity Sgt Maj in Philadelphia. If he sees me I think were going to have a big problem with the club and i MIGHT FIND MY ASS BACK IN A LINE COMPANY AGAIN.
I've really got my hands full here at the company level and would like to defer most of the building process to you. Maybe you would handle the issues the officers have and I would take care the issues the Staff have. I here the Gunny knocking on the red block outside my door better see what he wants. Semper Fi
1stSgt Jones.. about 24 hours ago a memo came down from Regimantal H&S.
Did you happen to see it?
It needed a enforsement by you as it was mainly directed at you. We did not know if you know how to set your PM popups .. So we have made sure your popups are now set so that you will receive your PM's as the arrive...
Once you have checked and read your PM's and digest the information there in you will have time to think about answers .:smokin2: :detective

Top I concur with the contents of your message. I will be proposing the construction and operating budget based on your input.
I just dropped by home to get myself rearranged to take my wife for an ultra-sound. She had/has cancer and when they read the CT scan this morning they found a mass near her esophogas (sp) and can't determine what it is. I have an appointment for shortly after noon at the hospital for her and need a little time to run some errands for her before we leave.
I'll be sending the CO a PM advising him of my need for some additional time to complete the figures and have them check prior to submitting them for his action.
Your arrival will add much to what we think we are doing. Again, welcome aboard and I'll be back with you when I return this afternoon.

Scuba -- How are you? - Please give my best wishes to Jeanette as she deals with her doctors. I'm sure things are going to come out all right.
And don't keep me out of the loop on all this stuff you guys are doing. The CO counts on me more than you know. He's Preident Bush and I'm Dick Cheney so you know who really runs the show. Smile

Sorry.
In my haste to get the posting related to a budget due by noon today I hurried a little too much. PM enroute related to subject of SNCO and Officer's Club.

scuba3rd.. I'm really happy to hear the last results of Jeanette's re-check on that spot that turned out not to be there..
But I just wanted to say that a No does not mean a yes or maybe yes when it comes to reopening the current budget.

Morning Top,
Great idea there for the Officer/Staff club .
The only thing I want to add is you have to beware of our E club manager an E4 named Cplperkip (Phil) he guards the club like it is his own and will resent the intrusion of another club.
Why he has even accused me of bringing in bootleg booze from time to time!
Perhaps a complete audit of the eclub books is in order, and it might explain all the golfing trips this E4 seems to be able to afford.:detective
Bob .. You Silver tounged devil... excelent way you fixed the budget.. show it to the 1st Sgt.... thn I beleive the two of you hould put pencil to your conceps... please submiit the drawings and budget to me so I can send it to the XO so it can be rubber stamped...

Excuse me?? -- "send it to the XO so it can be rubber stamped"??
I'll have you know there will be no rubber stamping done out of my office.
The Budget with be gone over tooth and nail with a fine tooth comb.
1st Sergeant Joe Raducca (sp) taught me many years ago that things are done the Marine Corps way -- The right way the first time - and if anyone can't do that -- its time for them to pack their seabag and hit the bricks.
And don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

Oh sh*t we had a fire at the office today over at the e-club. And damn wouldn't you know it the books were the only things that was destroyed. (good work Obie one ).
Now I will have to get refunded for this year, ten grand should be a good start.
I will pick up the check as soon as me and obie return from a little trip tp Scotland that was planned and approved last year.
Oh the shame of it all I sure hope we have pictures of the fire for my little collection.
Phil my bags are [acked and I am ready to go re[resent the few in another country.
As of this post we have moved the 1stSgt Office from behind closed doors for all to see.:dog:

Nice office ya got here 1st Sgt. :dog: I wiped my boots the best I can but have mud in the treads. Been over taking a look at the swamp, aka golf course. Ya'll got a mainline break and several stuck valves. Looks like it's been eons since the irrigation was PMd. Trees need alot of work too. As a landscaper and arborist, I'd be more than happy to give you some consultation. I hear the Military really pays consultants well :kilroilet Ya might need to hire a Marine Biologist, I think that's kelp growing on the 8th fairway. The frogs seem to love it. :bounce:

Thanks for stopping by, I don't have all my Marine Corp stuff hanging on the walls yet. guess I need to get them hung tonight.
Glad to see your house broken an wiped off your boondockers before comming into my office.
Does look like you have a problem with the watering system for the golf course. and I really feel for you maybe we could get the 2nd Combat Engineers to come by and see wha tthey could do . One things for sure if they can't fix it, they sure as hell know how to blow it up. Most time they have been blowing the hell of of their problems.
I can see working at the U of A as a ground supervisor is a tuff job.
The old 1stSgt worked for a college in civilian life, it was an Engineering college. Worked with Physical Facilities poeple like yourself.
You know hiring a consultant to take care of your problem won't do it. Do you know why ? A consultant is a person you hire to tell you what time it is then they borrow your watch.....Get my drift....
got to leave for now my telephone is ringing.......Semper Fi...
