Well got in the office early this morning and man was it a shithouse...:banghead:
SRB's, morning report and duty log books all over the place.:fingerwav
Think I'll need to send my Admin chief to a refresher course at PI to learn how to control the office.:fingerwav Well anyway I got things ship shape and I'll be ready to roll and control ya might say.
Now with the Co on vacation and we don't have an XO then I don't have to answer to anyone at the Company level . As far as the Regt I can bull shit them all day long.:smokin2: They are to busy kissing ass with each other to realize the real world here at the Company level.:kissass:
The only one I need to really make sure gets the scope is Major Chuck cause ya can't get by him. With 50 years in the Corp he's seem is all
or done it all.....:salute:
Had to reassign Obie to shitter detail today cause the Co jeep was still in the motor pool getting an overhaul. I finished my tour of the base on my schooter.
Felt good to be crusing around popping wheelys.
WEnt to sick bay today and saw the sick lame and lazy that didn't make to force march....:crackwhip .....some of them are a sorry lot....:banghead: ....goes to show you they don't make some of the Marines like they did in the old days. :sniper:
Hell i can remember comming in off liberty at 0400 drunk, :drunk: taking a shower, hitting the mess hall at 0500 for early Rat's and falling out for muster and going on a force march at 0630......them was the days........all that fun and they paid us $80.00 a month..............yea good old days........beer at the club was $.10 and ya could go to a flick for a dime also.........Well, think I'll drop by the eclub and see what's going on......maybe I can get a couple drinks on Major Chuck's tab before he gets there.:drunk:
Good afternoon 1stSgt Smith.. As soon as your lame are able.. I would like you to have them out there pulling up the grass with their stomachs.. I thank that a few push ups will do them good until they are able to walk on their blisters. I think they should also be checked to make sure they are wearing regulation socks. If they were they should not have blisters. Maybe their heals are worn down on their boots.. you can hold a inspection and also check for that. We need to get this bunch combat ready. If they can't walk 25 miles here what are they going to do in the sand when it is 130 degrees. I'll have to send 2ndLt Dogface by to give them some pointers that may keep them alive.
I'm going to my private office.. where I can watch the grass grow through the big picture window.
Shitters again it seems like that is all I do but by God I am going to be the best damn shit burner in the world!!!!!!!!!
Good evening 1st. Sgt., I was just passing through to the Club, and if you have time or get back.... I buy you a beverage.. (note ) XO
Get your old ass in here Martin now that you are back we want to keep you here
since its a holiday weekend ... and im very reserved about this ... cause the area still looks a mess ..... but were going to sound liberty early .... but next week look out .....job inspection and a big ole hike and a bn run too have fun ooorrahhhhh..... now to get a cold one ooorrahhh semper-fi devil dogs:salute:
I do not want to drink this weekend but to make the Gunny ap I will!
Gunny.. you should know better.. We do not put off what we can do today. What happened to the field day and the PE out front evening at 1600? The 1stSgt and I were going to set in my private office and what them do their workouts... just to make sure the new BuckSgt did it correctly.
And you went and gave early liberty.. and a 96 at that.:fingerwav
Gunny.. as you know a regular 3 day week in is a 72... But when you gave the men a early time off.. you turned that into a 96.. That's what the CO had to release the liberty cards for.. You have been off liberty cards for so long because of your rank that you forgot how it works.

Ok. So Major Chuck caught ya opening the Liberty card box a little early.:fingerwav
Now I heard a couple of the troops lost their Liberty cards and they will need to be replaced. :banghead: Well were going to assign them to Obie shitter cleaning detail for the next couiple weeksends. :banghead:
This might sound hard but let me tell you a little sea story. When i was a young marine( that's in the old Corp ya know) we would make believe to loose our liberty card ,take a little EPD from the Company 1st Sgt for a couple weeks but then we would have an extra liberty card in our wallets to use anytime it was needed. :thanks:
Came in handy when liberty was seured or when ya was restricted to the base. So I'm sure if I did it, some of these younger Marines can think of the same way to get an extra card. So we need to keep control.:banghead:
Well, next time i see Major Chuck I'll let him know your striking to be a 1stSgt and you took the LIBERTY ( no pun ) to exercise your authority to call Liberty a little early.:thanks:
Hell that's no big deal, ya know most of the Officers were shitting and gettin early in the day . Besides the lame and lazy did a fine job picking out the weeds from the grassy area around Major Chuks office. :boink:
Now when he looks out his big picture window in the Regt area the lawn looks
like a golf green.:leghump:
Nice to see Lt Martin is back on the seen. We need to get him back in the company area so sign some SRB's and look over some other paper work before it goes to Capt Larry to rubber stamp.
Semper Fi..........:salute:
1stSgt.. there will be a final inspection at 0900 tomorrow.. all hands will be present.. I will let you do the inspection and I will watch from the door way. That means no golf for you until the afternoon.. but wait.. you can't play golf right now.. you have a disability chit...

Ok Major Chuck..:salute: ..inspection at 0900, got the Gunny and Plt Sgt's together. Told them, I'd be doing the inspection. broke out a new pair of white gloves and I'll be ready to go.:banghead:
Now as far as my not playing golf...:k_crying: ....I was told i could play but it would need to be modified....:fingerwav ..So i can play I just need to stay in the cart and play like I'm playing POLO....:thanks: ....I've already chopped down my clubs and ready to go.
First Sgt the troops are ready for inspection ...... the Ncos did there job and did a great job......the area looks better now in the weeks past ... The Major should be mighty pleased with the troops... all the men was scrubbed up:bubblebat with good stiff brushes...but they are ready for the final inspection... im ready for a cup of joe:coffee: and get some chow..:thanks: im sure that all will go as planned semper-fi:salute:
At last this place looks like a Barracks a Marine could live in.. not where you would want to keep a bunch of pigs.. 1stSgt I will pass the inspection this time after inspecting your white gloves.. but I did not see you run your hand over the ledge above the door ways.
I can only assume that your temporary disability kept you from doing that. But next time I expect to see a hand ran across up there.
Carry on.. 1stSgt and GyJohn.. I expect to see you at my private office at 1600 hours tonight so that we can set by the window and watch the men do their PT. 1stSgt you may have to show the Gunny where my office is.. and tell him to be careful of the yellow tape. You know what I mean.

Gunny John.........The inspection was outstanding. With your leadership directring the NCO's and keeping the Plt Leaders out of the way everything went well. :sniper:
Major Chuck as you might know was checking out how I was conducting the inspecting cause of my hip problem and all.:smokin2: He noticed I couldn't check over the hatchs with my white glove and made note of it.:k_crying:
Ya know that's where he usually looks and will flunk the inspection if he gets his white gloves a little dirty. Guess its cause those Officers white gloves cost more money than enlisted gloves. Anyway we passed with flying colors.:thanks:
Major chuck didn't even mention to me about you sounding liberty call a little early last week.:fingerwav I think he must have thought it over and knew you did the right thing. Semper Fi for a job well done ...:salute: ....
Gunny.........One thing I've learned being a 1stSgt for 30 years is if ya got a good Company Gunny....your outfit will always be ready for what comes your way.....:shot: ...I'm sure the Major will let the Co know about your performance so he can make a special remarks on your next Fitness Report.
Again job well done ........the Major and i would like to see ya at the club tonight.....He's offered to let us set at his private table......ya know the one that's Marked "Mustang's Only UNLESS YOUR INVITED" :crackwhip

Major Chuck......I just passed the word along to Gunny John about how the inspection went. Glad to see it met with your approval.
The Gunny was right on top of the NCO's giving them detailed instructions and that's what they needed cause the Junior NCO'S in this outfitt don't have to much TIG but like 2nd Lt's thay will learn fast enough from the Gunny.:fingerwav
So ya noticed I couldn't reach over the hatchs to check for dust ! :fingerwav
Well we had that covered........knowing I was couldn't perform that part of the inspection, I had the Gunny check it for me prior to the inspection...:fingerwav ....as you know that's what Gunny's do.......thay cover their 1stSgt's asses....:crackwhip ....this is a Marine corp Tradition.........Gunny's know if they take care of there 1stSgt then when they make 1stSgt they will have a Gunny looking out for them.:shot:
This goes way back in History of the Corp.........Did ya know that back in the real old corp......Gunny's were at a higher pay grade than 1stSgt's.....yea thay had more technical skills to offer the Corp........the as the Corp got bigger the roll of 1stSgt changed and the Gunny was placed a pay grade below the 1stSgt. :sniper:
When you meet the Co today, let him know about Gunny JoHn's performance.
I would recommend a special Fittness Report be written and sent to CMC.
The Gunny and i will see ya at the the evenning........Semper Fi:salute:
i wont tell ya what i had to do to some of them young NCOs but they got the job done and did a right fine job of it .... i knew that everyone would be very pleased with there job .... the credit goes to all the leaders fire team leaders Cpls and the Sgts everyone pitched in and did a wonderful job ..... ooorrahhhhh :salute:

Went to camp lejeune last year and that place has really changed. Jacksonville is getting really big. It must be about 100 thousand now. When
i was first there in 1947 i think it was about 4 thousand. I used to live in
laurel bay housing in 1966 for a short time. Planning on going to quantico
for the museum opening in november 10th. Glad you had a good trip top. Take care. Semper fi. OOOrraaahh

Shooter,:
I know what you mean a bout Camp LeJuene it's a big city now. All the troops make enough money to drive cars. Not like when we were PFC's, hell we were lucky to have money to go to the base flick and have a few beers at the slop shoot .
Yea I'd like to see the new museum at Quantico. Maybe when we go down to Flordia net winter we'll stop off there for a couple days on the way.
Right now I'm getting back on my feet after having my left hip replaced for the third time. I'm getting around pretty good. Today I did a 2 mile walk came back and spent a couple hours working in the yard on the lawn and the wife's flowers. So i spent about four hours on my feet, took a couple breaks and felt good. At the age of 63 I think that's enough work for the day.:fingerwav
WE lived in Laurel Bay back in 1971 -73 when I was the Supply Chief for MCAS Beaufort. It was a good tour of duty.
Well take it easy down there in TX..........Keep it touch with the Marine here they are a great bunch .........Semper FI.......:salute:
