I hear that someone needs a photo added. If you send it to me at
MrChuck@sbcglobal.net I will see that it is added to your signature page.

Where has everyone gone. I know there was just someone here.. I could hear them talking.

I'll just leave a note on the 1st shirts desk and tell him I need a up date on that budget request that the budget officer sent to my office.

Welcome to the outfit Bugler. sorry your having a hard time getting checked in. Everyone is out on the Rifle Range (i think) and it will be a while before they return. Just hang loose get chow at the mess hall when your hungry and go on over to the E Club when it opens. There will be some guys there to help you thru. Normally this place is a lot more hospitable but today is a rough day for all.

Hello Obie

I hear you are our kind of Marine. Thanks for the drinks. We'll be there tonight.

If anyone sees the CO or 1stSgt you had better stay out of their way. I don't think they will be in very good mood today. Looks like someone gave orders for the weapons company to be at the rifle range this week. I guess that means they will not have to stand the junk on the bunk inspection. Now I wonder how that happened.

May I suggest you check some of the other places here at the FEW and become acquainted with whats happening. Try the EClub, Read Daily, other threads which are on the list. You will find that you can certanly see somethings that will interest you. If you are so disposed get in and get started right away. Noone here holds back. We discuss everything from politics to our frustation with the docs who deal with our broken down old bodies. A favorite is to bandy words about politics in re: Kerry vs Bush. Feel right at home. There is nothing here to hurt you. Nay on the other hand there is everything here to aid and assist you. We are a brotherhood. We have no secret handshake and we have no particular agenda other then to be a band of brothers who care about one another and associate together in order to maintain our health, our sanity (at times), our beliefs, and our common ground as Marines.

Howdy Top,
I need you to calm down the people at the Armory, I sort of borrowed a dozen cases of some old surplus .30 for my M1 and the gunny caught me leaving through the back door.
Hell they dont need .30 anymore, and maybe some of the new guys want to come out to the range and see how they like this ole M1.

Ill even spring for the beer if you can get this swept under the rug......a lot of beer:drunk:

Now I just wonder where the 1stSgt keeps all of his reserve clean shirts? He would never miss one and I would have it back before Monday morning. The cleaners is Open on Sunday. I need something with a lot of stripes on it.

No guard on duty! Maybe I can get into the CO's office. Now that would be a very import shirt.

Will I'm back and missing one of my shirts ! Thought I had three extra ones in my wall locker but now I only have two. Guess I'll need tocheck the base laundry.

Well , the Weapons company might be at the Range this weekend but they are still going to stand the junk on the bunk. and the brownbagger will stand things on the springs. Yea, I want all the uniforms displayed with full 782 gear. We nee to ensure everyone has a full issue. Can't tell when you might need to ship out of this unit. The junk on the bunk inspection will be held at 0830 Tuesday morning. And I'm still looking for a shirt of mine that's missing.

No problem, you know I just came back from Supply and they had those rounds written off the 708 cards, Property Records eight years ago. You did them a favor. If they were inspected, they would have gotten writen up by FSAMA( Field supply & Main Audit)

Keep your power dry and by all mean cover your ass........:)

Just got back from the Range .. S/Sgt Hicks is doing a fine job... so far it seems from what i could see and in talking to the coaches... all the men are doing well they are on the 1000 inch line...and snaping in ... but you know they are to be there all week willl not qulify until Friday morning... so they can not be two places at once and we need to get them qualified... at this point that is more inportant... they just had a 782 gear inspection not over 3 weeks ago... what the hell if need be I know we can work around it.. we have been in worse messes than this before..

I think that you have made a wise choice on L/Cpl Shuktello.. he is new and you can give him direction... he seems like a sharp Marine... I left his SRB on your desk... he has been trained in guns... but I do think he is sharp... look at his pro and con marks .. they look right good to me.. he got a 4.0 out of boot camp that states something in it self...

Thanks Top

Too bad I could not find a extra shirt with a lot of stripes on it. I'll just have to wear a t-shirt. Now where would the 1stSgt put those keys?

If I can't find the keys I'll have to just put my thumb out. A Marine with wheels will always pick up a Marine walking.. or stumbling.. or even if I am crawling. I think I can still get around on my knees.

Well, I told you when you reported in that I could not stand for any snooping & pooping around by you. I understand you wer STRIKING in the eclub and ran out the club wearing nothing be a smile. Then you get caought hich hicking to town and get picked up by the PM's ...........Why , Oh tell me why did you try to hich a ride to town with the PM's ? Now the wrote you up on a DWW, yea Drink While Walking. I could have taken care of the STRINKING issue in the club ,,,,,,,,,,but DWW........can't help you....

I guess its part my fault should have given you an assignment when you first checked in.........Report to my office in the morning.......I'll try to keep this issue out of the old man's office but it will take some doin.........Secure the butt's Marine your on restriction until the morning.

Sir,

Bn issued the orders for Weapons Co without letting anyone know.

Ya, this Marine appears to have it together. Pro & con marks of 4.0 out of boot camp. He must me a real water walker.

Sir, on another issue I might need to take care of an issue with CWO4 Pudpuller from dispursing. It appears he wants to be addressed as "Gunner" but you and I know he is not a Line WO with bursting bomb as designation. And he dosen't like to be addressed as Mr. I'm going to give him a call and ask foro him to meet me in my office, I'll be closing my hatch, so please turn up the CD in your office.

Attention on deck. A command officer is on deck.

1stSgt pass the order to have the men stand down on the inspection. What I want instead is a full field readiness test.

Full transport packs with rations and water for 2 days.
Set up up a 50 mile hike. 25 miles out... over nighter with
night patrols... and hike back the next day. You can ride
with the field medical officer in the ambulance.

Set up to the south west of the old rifle range. Regiment H&S will have tents set up just to the north of the old range so that we can observe. Instruct your XO and CO to report to my tent at 1800 hours for dinner and a briefing. Because you are field grade you can join the junior officers at the officers mess tent. We will have that set up for you when you arrive. It will be next to the sick bay tent.
