O'Boot.. just do like the rest of us old fogies do.. take one day at a time and enjoy it as much as you can.

My blood pressure was doing the same thing.. I was passing out. Many times after I would feel faint and I took my blood pressure it would be something like 50/35. My doctors told me I should be dead..

I was all set for a pace maker.. that may be what you need.. with load blood pressure your O2 levels are going to be load because your heart is not pumping enough blood through your system.

I was lucky.. I found out that my problem was the blood pressure meds they were giving to me. I did not need them in the first place. But the doctor told me I should take the blood pressure meds because people my age have high blood pressure as a norm.. But I had always followed my Marine Corps ways and was in very good shape for my age (in my 70's). Once I took myself off the blood pressure meds my system went back to normal.. and for the past year my blood pressure has been normal. 125/70. That's what people 50 years younger them me should have.

So hang in there.. have the VA give you another check on your blood pressure meds.. you may be taking too muck and it's forcing your blood pressure too low.

Chuck,
I think that I would be looking for another doc. One with a medical degree. :voodoo:

James, you and Joan just keep plugging away. Most of us in here have lived longer than we ever expected to live. I will be 81 in August and just enjoy each day I am blessed with. I too take those stupid pills, but they seem to work for me.
