RUSSELL - John A. Donovan, 71, a retired Lab Technician of 14 years for Parson's Paper Co. in Holyoke, died Saturday at home. Born in Fiskdale, MA on March 6, 1935, he lived in Russell since 1963 coming from Chester Hill in Chester. He was a graduate of Mary E. Wells High School in Southbridge, MA. He also worked many years at Westfield River Paper Co. He was a Private First Class in the Marine Corps. John leaves his wife of 47 years, the former Pauline J. Avery; a son, John A. Donovan of Westfield; a daughter, Suzanne Noyes of Russell; a sister and brother-in-law Beverly and Richard Tetreault of Holland, MA; three grandsons, Justine, Jason and Jeremy Noyes; and seven nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 8th at 11:00 a.m. at the Russell Cemetery in Russell. There are no calling hours.
