He was Uncle Gigs and much loved by his nieces and nephews, Debbie (Ralph) Strano, Joann (Anthony) Gennaro, Susan Beck, John (Diane) Gagliardi and Ann Gagliardi Allison. He was also uncle to eleven great-nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by the Guido cousins, the Alfredo Gagliardi family and the Fleet families. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were an infant sister, Rose and 12 year old brother, Sammy; a brother-in-law, James Beck, and nephew, Jim Beck. Friends will be received Friday, March 1, 2013, from 3-8 p.m. in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME INC., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge. The Ambridge Fire Department will hold a service at 6 p.m. A Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Syka Funeral Home. A Christian entombment will follow at Sylvania Hills Mausoleum, 922 Sunflower Road, Rochester, PA15074. Members of the U.S. Marines veterans will provide full military honors at 11 a.m. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care and kindness given to him at West Hills Health and Rehab in Moon Twp. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Ambridge Fire Department, 600 11th St., Ambridge, PA 15003 or Ambridge Area H.S., c/o Marine Corps JROTC, 909 Duss Avenue, Ambridge, PA 15003.
