William Richard "Dickie" Elder Jr., 62, Louisville, KY
William Richard "Dickie" Elder Jr., 62, passed away May 28, 2009. He was born in Louisville on August 8, 1946, a graduate of St. Brigid elementary and Trinity High Schools. Dickie served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam era and was a self employed paint contractor in Louisville for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Tessie Elder. Dickie was blessed with three children and four grandchildren, Joe (Kelly) Elder, Bonny Elder (Antonia) and Katie Donahue; grandsons, J.D. and Aiden Elder and Corey and Brandon Wise; a sister, Bonnie Elder; and his companion, Patty McDonald. A memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday June 6, 2009 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, 2119 Payne St., with a reception to follow at St. Brigid fellowship Hall, 1520 Hepburn Ave. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may go to The Healing Place Women's and Children Community 1020 West Market St., Louisville, KY 40204. Nunnelley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
