Donald Edward Vutera, 68, Red Rock, AZ

Donald Edward Vutera, of Red Rock, AZ, formerly of Flushing, age 68, was reunited with his beloved wife, "Babe" on Tuesday, July 5, 2011. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 at Flushing United Methodist Church. Rev. Don Weatherup will officiate. The family will receive friends 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Rossell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity that will be named later by the family. Donald was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 1, 1943, the son of Frank and Anna (Znoy) Vutera. He married Sue Lynn Read on December 26, 1965. She preceded him in death on June 9, 2011. Donald served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Mike Co. 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines as a Sergeant and rifle expert. He served in Vietnam from 1966-1967. Donald's USMC pride ran deep and true. He retired from GM Metal Fab plant in Flint in 1999 and was a member of UAW Local 659. Don loved to travel with his wife, Sue, and his true passion was his grandchildren. Donald is survived by his daughters, Mallorie and husband Robert Myers, Amy Campos; grandchildren, Zachary Campos, Spencer, Tanner, Dexter, and Bailey Myers; mother, Anna Vutera; brother, Joseph and wife Leona Vutera; sister, Dolores and husband Leonard Cardascio; sister-in-law, Eileen Read; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Barbara Nemiro.
