David W. Faulkner, 64, Monument Beach, MA

David W. Faulkner, Of Monument Beach MA; David W, age 64; a resident since 1971, died suddenly in Pennsylvania on Sept. 4, 2012. He is survived by his spouse of 44 years Barbara Q. Faulkner. David was a Marine Corps veteran, an accomplished musician, avid sailor and respected professional in the field of fund raising and development. He was born in 1947 in Stoneham MA and graduated from Quincy High School. He graduated from Boston University School of Public Communications and then completed his MBA at Sussex College of Technology in 1994. He was a consummate professional; well regarded by his collogues and mentored many throughout his career. He held numerous certifications and awards within his chosen profession. During his career, he had a strong belief in the philanthropy and missions of the various institutions that he represented. David left a personal legacy of wit, laughter, charm and generosity of spirit that will be missed but fondly remembered by his devoted family and many friends. David was a Mason and member of the Aleppo Shrine in Wilmington MA. He was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League, Marine Corps Association and the Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by his three children, David C. Faulkner of Rindge, NH and his wife Sarah and grandson Liam; Jonathan W. Faulkner of Peterborough NH and his son Maxwell; and Devon W. Faulkner of Burlington VT. Visiting hours will be from 4:00 -7:00 PM, Thursday, September 13th at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Hwy. WEST FALMOUTH, MA. Funeral Mass of celebration at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 14th in the Saint John the Evangelist Church, 841 Shore Road, Pocasset, MA. Burial will follow at the VA National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Donations made in Lieu of flowers to establish a Memorial Fund has been set up in David's name to benefit his grandchildren's educations. Donations should be mailed to: Soverign Bank 30 Barlow's Landing Road, Pocasset, MA 02559.
