Guillermo Florencio "Willie" Archuleta Sr. USMC (ret), 67, Carrizozo, NM

Guillermo Florencio Archuleta Sr. "Willie", 67, a longtime resident of Carrizozo, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010. Willie was born on April 10, 1943, in Carrizozo, to Florencio and Maria (McKinley) Archuleta. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1988 and was recalled into service for Desert Storm in 1991. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, sisters Louisa Ramirez and Elvira Lucero, and his brothers Thomas and Lencho Archuleta. He is survived by his wife, Pristina (Baca) Archuleta, his brothers Ernest and Gilbert Archuleta, son William Archuleta and his wife Tina, his daughters Darcy Garcia and her husband Joe, and Elizabeth Johnson, seven grandchildren; Fabian Garcia and his wife Tamra, Antonio Medrano III, Faith Garcia, Brea Baca, Trevanen Johnson, Allison Archuleta, and Orlando Sisneros, he also has 36 nieces and nephews. He is very much loved and will be missed by all of his family and friends. Rosary will be held on June 4, 2010 at 7:00pm at the Santa Rita Catholic Church in Carrizozo, New Mexico. Services will be on June 5, 2010 at the Santa Rita Catholic Church at 10:00am, interment and refreshments will follow at the Parrish Hall. Pallbearers will include the military guard. Honorary Pallbearers include Antonio Medrano III, Fabian Garcia, Joe Garcia, Christopher Barela, Gilbert Barela, Frankie Gallegos Sr. and Frank Gallegos Jr.
