MSgt Boone Earl Sales USMC (ret), 75, Richmond Hill, GA

MSgt, USMC, Retired, Boone Earl Sales, 75, of Richmond Hill, Ga., died Saturday, Sept 29, 2007 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. He was born in Humboldt, Tennessee, and had moved to Richmond Hill, Ga in 1986. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Frances Hansboro Sales. He was retired from the US Marine Corps after 21 years of service, having served both in Korea and Vietnam. He received the Good Conduct Medal with 7 Oak Leaf Clusters, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Navy Unit Citation, and the Armed Forces Expedition Medal. He had also worked at Arby's for 21 years, and Ronnie's for 11 years. He was a member of the Richmond Hill United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Conley Sales, of Richmond Hill, Ga; daughter, Frances Ruth "Ruthie" Sales (Mel) of Richmond, Kentucky; 4 stepdaughters, Carol Carter, Rev. G. Lois Caster (Charles), Savannah, Ga; Patsy Jean Harn,(Randall Dailey) of Douglasville, Ga; and Pamela Berantis (Dallas) of Fayetteville, N.C.; Devoted Aunt, Mary Taylor; five grandchildren, William Gordon Caster, Christopher Michael Caster, Olivia Faith Harn, Dorothy Claire Sales, and Darwin F. Dailey. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Fairhaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services: 1 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home, with Rev. G. Lois Caster, and Rev. John Haney, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest West Cemetery, with Military Honors. Remembrances: US Marine Corps "Toys for Tots".
