Following graduation, Patsy joined the Marine Corps, where she met her husband, Lewis D. Vogler. After starting their family, Patsy left the Marines to focus on her family and volunteer work. She was active in many clubs and social organizations, including various Woodbridge Senior High School booster clubs, the Women Marines Association, the Officers' Wives' Club, the Retired Officers' Wives' Club and the International Wives' Club at Quantico, Va., the Quantico Garden Club and the American Legion Post 364 (Woodbridge, Va.). She also found time to continue her education and she earned a Master of Education degree from the University of Virginia in 1976. Once her children were grown, Patsy went back to work as the Supervisor of Communications for the American Legion at their headquarters in Washington, D.C. She retired in 2001 after 17 years of service. Mrs. Vogler is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lewis D. Vogler (USMC Ret.); her daughter, Lisa V. Saunders (David), a paralegal living in Florida; and her son, Lt. Col. Lewis D. Vogler Jr. (Judith), currently assigned to Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command in North Carolina and his five children. She also leaves behind other family members and friends who loved her dearly. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 7, 2007, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge, Va., with a memorial service to be held at the USMC Memorial Chapel, Quantico, Va., on Tuesday, May 8, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G.
