Patrick Dennis Davis, 56, St Cloud, MN

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud for Patrick Dennis Davis, 56, who died suddenly on Sunday, September 8, 2013. Rev. Alfred Stangl will officiate.

Inurnment with full military honors provided by the United Stated Marine Corps will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Friday morning at the funeral home.

Patrick was born on January 15, 1957 in Oceanside, CA to Rex and Jean (Mason) Davis. Patrick grew up in St. Cloud from the age of 8. Patrick is a 1975 graduate of St. John's Preparatory School. His passions were wrestling, running track and pole vaulting. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in the spring of 1977. He graduated from Marine Corps boot camp as the Series Honor Man at the rank of Lance Corporal. A few months later Patrick was selected for a special program and sent to Quantico, Virginia for an additional 10 weeks of training for Officer Candidate School (OCS) where he graduated as a Second Lieutenant. Following that he attended another 26 weeks of The Basic School (TBS) to learn the art and science of being an Officer of Marines. He was eventually trained to be an Air Defense Controller. Patrick was honorably discharged as a Captain in 1987. He will be greatly missed.

Patrick is survived by his mother, Jean Davis, and his brothers Michael, Thomas, and David as well as his sisters Maureen (Donohue), Michelle (Branham), and Molly.

Patrick is preceded in death by his Dad, Rex and his Brother, Terry.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to: Fischer House Minnesota, Minneapolis, VAHCS I, II; I Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417 or online donations may be made in Patrick's name to
