Quincy Demont Ashford, 24, Winnsboro, SC

WINNSBORO — Quincy Demont Ashford was born on September 18, 1989 to the late Connie Francis Holmes and Timothy Ashford of Winnsboro. Quincy departed this life on his 24th birthday on September 18, 2013.

Quincy was educated in the public schools of Fairfield County and graduated from Fairfield Central High School in 2007. Quincy served in the United States Marine Corps and he served in Iraq and Cuba.

Quincy was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Francis Holmes and his grandfather, Edward Ashford. Quincy leaves to cherish his memory: his brother, Freddy Holmes; his significant other, Ms. Valentae Wilson and their unborn daughter, Quincy Connie Ashford; his father, Timothy Ashford of Winnsboro; his grandparents, Walter and Mary Holley of Winnsboro; his paternal grandmother, Izora Ashford of Winnsboro; his godparents, Dorothy (Thomas) Kelly of Winnsboro.

Quincy also leaves to mourn his passing his aunts and uncles: Gloria (James) White, Elizabeth (Zachary) Mobley, Martha (Marvin) Johnson, Teresa (Lawrence) Brown, LaMorris (Courtney) Holley, Melvin (Juana) McDaniel, Rosalyn (Dennis) Boyd, Rosa Ashford, and James (Linda) Ashford, all of Winnsboro; special cousins, Martes Holley, Marvin Johnson, Shykilia Green, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

We, the family of Quincy Demont Ashford, would like to express a special thank you to all of those who helped us in remembering the life of our loved one.

Services were entrusted to Palmetto Funeral Service of the Midlands, LLC.
